Supporting Families with Safe, Enriching Experiences

Families want their loved ones to enjoy meaningful moments every day. A well-loved song can awaken memories from earlier chapters of life, helping loved ones reconnect with experiences that still feel close to the heart.

caregiVR provides safe and engaging experiences that spark conversation and encourage social connections — giving seniors new ways to learn and laugh with the people around them.

Safety & Comfort

Your loved one’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. All VR sessions are supervised by trained staff, and headsets are carefully cleaned and adjusted for comfort. Motion is gentle and customizable, ensuring residents feel secure and at ease while using VR.

Connecting Families Across Generations

VR can create moments that bring grandchildren and grandparents together in fun and meaningful ways. In our VRCHIVE pilot workshop, families collaborated to make their own VR films, capturing stories and experiences across generations. Participants reported feeling closer, more connected, and more confident using technology together, showing how shared VR experiences can strengthen family bonds and spark joyful memories.

Hyper-Personalized Experiences

When a palliative care patient could no longer visit their favourite Canadian gallery, caregiVR brought the experience to them. Through immersive 360° filming and a private interview with the artist, we recreated a moment that was both deeply meaningful and uniquely their own. We are grateful to Charles Pachter for welcoming us into his gallery and for his generous, heartfelt participation.

Inspiring Young Minds

caregiVR was excited to bring VR to students at the Bright Lights in the Lab neuroscience camp, in partnership with the Firefly Foundation and UTS. Campers explored the brain through immersive VR and imagined how this technology could bridge generations and improve the care of older adults. Seeing young learners connect science, empathy, and innovation was truly inspiring!
